What do I need to make a public liability claim?
If you have had an accident while on a public property, you can make a public liability claim.
You will need to prove that another party was responsible for your injury. You must establish if they have a duty of care, i.e., if they are responsible for the care of the area where your accident occurred.

You must take the following actions:
• Report the accident.
• Record all the details of the accident and how it happened (written notes and/or videos). Include measurements where necessary.
• Start your claim. Remember to make your claim within 3 years of the
injury taking place. If you are under 18 years, time starts running on your 18th birthday.
